About TrailGearList

Ever get that feeling you’re doing more lugging than hiking? During my last few trips, I became painfully aware of this. I was enjoying the journey, the scenery, and the company less, simply because my pack was too heavy.

Welcome to Trailgearlist.com. I started this site out of that exact personal need. I wanted to easily build a packing list for every trip, choose from all my gear, and see instantly how much weight I was adding. It allows me to quickly weigh my options and find the right balance between comfort on the trail and comfort at camp.

Since building websites is my second big passion alongside hiking, it felt like a natural step to share this tool with the world rather than keeping it to myself. I hope the hiking community enjoys the site and finds it just as useful as I do.
