Early on, I wore a heavy pack like a badge of honor. But as I spent more time out there, my mindset shifted: I realized I didn't want to be just a pack animal. I wanted to focus on the scenery, the experience, and the company, not the weight on my shoulders.

Since then, I've been on a quest for the perfect balance: gear that offers comfort at camp without being a burden on the trail. Combine that with being an enthusiastic internet nerd, and TrailGearList.com was born.
